Uncle Bob's Words

Words, poetry, stuff like that

The cookie crumbled

The cookie crumbled.

The other shoe, it dropped.

The ball bounced, just once.

And I ride my quantum wave

Into the unfolding now.

All that’s behind me

Is just memory,

Shaky in recall.

But I couldn’t care, really.

It’s gone, gone, so very gone.

Kiss Me Once

Kiss me once before you leave.

I don’t know where I’ll be

When you return, if you return.

Things are so uncertain these days.

The places I’ve been in my life

Are all gone, gone away.

I am unmoored; no past, just now.

I could settle, but I’d just leave.
