Uncle Bob's Words

Words, poetry, stuff like that

The Truck

It’s a 1987 GMC K, out in the back yard,

Rusting away up on blocks.

It was going to be the boy’s truck

But he never made it back.

Sometimes, late at night, the old man

Comes out, leans against the fender

And cries silently in the dark.
